Terms and Conditions

1.1 This quotation is subject to Pwl Aircons’ (Pty) Ltd Terms and Conditions.

1.2 This quotation includes a standard back-to-back installation (where installation is specified on the quotation) and no additional material is included.

1.3 This quotation is valid for seven (7) days from the date received and may be subject to change due to sudden price increases by our suppliers. The client will be informed of such price increases as soon as Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd is informed thereof.

1.4 Acceptance of this quotation is confirmed with a deposit amounting to the percentage specified on the quotation. The payment terms will follow below.

1.5 We cannot take responsibility for any damage or performance related problems caused by ingress of any foreign matter or person, animal or plant or part thereof, vandalism, accident, flood, fire, lightning strike, negligence or any other external source or act of God.

1.6 In the event of heavy rain, the installations may have to be re-scheduled due to safety regulation constraints. We will inform you on the day (or prior if possible) and an alternative installation time/date will be arranged.

1.7 Our split-system units are installed and measured to the standard of the installation technician present to comply with industry installation and warranty standards. If, for any reason, you would like the unit installed at a non-standard height/ position, please have someone present on the day to discuss/oversee and sign-off on the work. All prices are clearly stated on our quotation for installations as well as the prices for any additional material e.g., pipping, electrical cables etc. and is therefore known to the client when the quotation is accepted for if your installation cannot be back-to-back.

1.8 The client shall, at its own cost, prepare the premises at which the equipment shall be delivered and/or installed by Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd in accordance with all reasonable instructions provided by Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd from time to time. Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd is not responsible to hire professional cleaning services to clean after the installation and it is the client’s responsibility to cover and remove all valuable items in the specific rooms where installation will be done. However technicians will take the necessary precautions to try and limit dust and dirt during installation.

1.9 KINDLY NOTE THAT PAYMENT OF THE INVOICE IS DUE IMMEDIATELY UPON RECEIPT OF FINAL INVOICE. All amounts payable by the client to Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd hereunder shall be paid in cash by way of electronic funds transfer, without any deduction or set-off and free of any exchange, into the following bank account of

Reference: NAME/SURNAME/INVOICE.

Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd shall promptly notify the client in writing of any changes to its bank account nominated above.

 

1.10 Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd cannot be held responsible for unforeseen electrical, water piping or whatsoever issues existing within the building which may arise when installing air conditioning.

1.11 Ownership of the equipment shall remain with Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd until such time as the full fee has been paid by the customer. The customer gives Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd full permission to remove Equipment that’s not paid.  

1.12 Risk in and to the equipment shall pass to the customer on delivery and installation at the premises of the customer.

1.13 The customer shall use the equipment with care and subject to instructions issued by the manufacturer or Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd when needed.

1.14 The customer shall maintain the equipment in a good state of repair, fair wear and tear is excepted. The customer shall make good at its own expense any damage caused to the equipment from whatsoever cause arising, including, without limiting the generality of a foregoing, any damage arising from the negligence of the customer or its personnel.

1.15 The customer acknowledges and agrees that the manufacturer warranty shall only apply if the equipment is serviced and/or repaired at such intervals and for such period as recommended by Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd, and only if such services are done by Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd.

1.16 Unless the customer proves otherwise and without limiting the rights of the customer pursuant to the CPA, if applicable, signature by the customer on any acceptance certificate provided by Pwl Aircons(Pty) Ltd and/or its service providers upon the installation of the equipment at the customers premises or any other written form of acceptance shall be deemed to be an acknowledgement by the customer that it has fully inspected and approved the installation of the equipment, including all of the components of the equipment, and that the equipment and components thereof have been received and installed to the full satisfaction of the customer.

1.17 Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever to the customer for any loss arising from any failure or delay in delivery and/or installation of the equipment resulting from any cause outside the control of Pwl aircons (Pty) Ltd unless such failure or delay is directly attributable to the gross negligence of Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd.

1.18 Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd DOES NOT TAKE RESPOSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES TO WALLS / STRUCTURES CAUSED BY DRILLING WHATSOEVER AND WILL NOT BE TAKEN RESPONSIBLE TO ANY REPAIRS OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM INSTALLATIONS. ALL CHARGES WERE EXPLAINED AND THERE WILL BE NO CLAIMS OR PAYMENTS WITHHELD WHATSOEVER.

1.19 On acceptance of this quote a 75% deposit on the total of this quote will apply – FOR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATIONS. On acceptance of this quote a 100% deposit/full payment on the total of this quote will apply – FOR SUPPLY OF MACHINES AND MATERIALS ONLY.

1.20 CANCELLATIONS OF DELIVERED ORDERS & OR REFUNDS: Subjected to approval by Pwl Aircons(Pty) Ltd, ANY CANCELLATION OF PAID DEPOSITS / ORDERS – A 20% ADMIN/HANDLING FEE of the total amount of the value of goods invoiced/returned WILL BE CHARGED/APPLICABLE.

1.21 Subjected to approval by Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd and based on the conditions and positive proof provided that, goods supplied are un-opened, un-installed and without any damage whatsoever, within the period of 14 working days, goods can be returned for credit/re-funded with an applicable admin/handling charge of 20% of the total amount of the value of goods invoiced/returned. Any credit/re-funds to be done ONLY after goods were received, inspected and items registered back in stock. All transportation/courier costs relating from cancellations/returning of goods, strictly for customers account/or deductible from customers credit of goods returned.

Other Considerations

2.1 Whilst all care is taken to provide the most accurate quote via email/phone, minor changes/additions according to your personal circumstances may sometimes be involved on the day of installation. In minor cases the installation may have to be re-scheduled to the next available appointment. Our installers will always strive to arrive at the given time to avoid any inconvenience to you however, there may at times be delayed due to previous appointments or by other unforeseen circumstances. We will inform you at the earliest time we can.

Warranty on Jet-Air Air Conditioners

  •  (3 Years) on all Evaporator units.
  •  (5 Year) on all Condenser units.

Warranty on MIDEA Air-Conditioner

  • (3 Years) on all Evaporator units.

Warranty on ALLIANCE AIR Air-Conditioner (Launched & Backed by Samsung)

  • (2 Years) on all Evaporator units.
  • (5 Years) on all Condenser units.

Warranty on Infinity & Other Brands Air conditioners

  • (1 Year) on all Evaporator units.
  • (2 Year) on all Condenser units.

Workmanship Warranty of Pwl Aircons (Pty) Ltd

  • 3 months workmanship on all work done by Pwl Aircons(Pty) Ltd

Conditions

  • PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT ALL MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES COVERS THE SPARE PARTS OF THE AIR CONDITIONERS AND IT DOES NOT COVER THE INSTALLATION OF THE SPECIFIC PARTS. INSTALLATION THEREOF WILL BE FOR THE ACCOUNT OF THE CLIENT.
  • Installations to be carried out by a qualified approved air-conditioner Installer.
  • Services to be carried out by Pwl Aircons (Pty) LTD only. (Separate Service charges applies and are not included in the initial purchasing and/or installation price).
  • Air Conditioners to be serviced twice annually (interval of 6 months) from date of installation/purchase for the whole warranty period to retain the warranty and to be able to make any warranty claims on the Air Conditioning Unit.
  • S.A.B.S Approved electrical connections to air conditioning units.
  • Customers are responsible to schedule services on due period.
  • Air conditioners to be correctly sized according to :> Room/office m² size.
